Year 6/7
This term we started a new topic of “Islands”. We have been looking at what an Island is, as well looking more in-depth at a variety of islands from around the world including Japan, Greek Islands and the Galapagos Islands. We have been learning about where the islands are located on a map, researching and looking into the culture and using this to complete a range of topic tasks and artwork.
We have really enjoyed reading our new topic themed novel “Shipwrecked” this term. We have been using this book and its themes as a focus for our Literacy sessions.
Within Numeracy this half term we are learning about:
- Time (Reading timetables)
- 3D Shapes
